Inácio started out as a small-scale farmer, but he had big dreams of producing food on a large scale.
Inacio started his farm Rio Brilhante to provide a better life for his family and community; he wanted them to be able to live in the fresh air, surrounded by natural beauty. He named it Rio Brilhante (‘bright river’ in English) after the clear crystal water that provides life and sustenance to all on the farm.
Nowadays, Inacio produces more than 5 million pounds of coffee annually and his company deals with exporting to more than 25 countries around the world!
Inacio’s passion for quality is reflected in every stage of coffee production at Rio Brilhante from seedling selection, cultivation practices, harvesting techniques and processing methods.
Rio Brilhante coffee has undeniably great taste.
The pure, sweet waters that run through the farm at Rio Brilhante originate from “Guarani Aquifer,” a vast underground reservoir that covers about 127,000 square miles. This lifeblood for this region of Brazil is what makes the Cerrado so amazing and vibrant.
This particular coffee from the Cerrado region is produced using 100% handpicked Topazio variety, 12 hour fermentation with drying at 12% moisture rate. This coffee has a very unique flavor profile with elements of kyoho grapes, fizzy cola candy, and rosehips.
